Congratulations! You have made it one more day. If we don’t congratulate ourselves who will?

No one is going to arrive at your door riding a white horse and return your lost cell phone! You celebrate the journey of looking for, and finding your own stuff, yourself.

No one is going to text you with the secrets to a great fortune. You congratulate yourself for the will to seek a better tomorrow for yourself and for your family.

Allow me to join in your victory and celebrate with you this day: that new job or promotion, your birthday, your anniversary, your 1st or 50th like, your 100th, 200th, 1000th post, your blogging award, publishing your book, finishing a chapter of your first book, taking your first steps since surgery. Whatever, the event, I celebrate with you today. You are not alone- you may be by yourself- but you are not alone. Congratulations. Cheers.

A lens to the heavens
The observatory, a beacon to the search for visitors.
But, we are visitors, too. The earth is our temporary home.
The shiny island dome, a working human monument exploring the Divine canvas created by –the Author of all life.
In Whom we are all truly “at home”

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” – John 8: 32

Truth. What can be more freeing that coming clean and telling the truth? It is not always easy but arguably, the truth does win in the end.

Today it is hard to establish a definition of truth. Because, the world system has its own values of what is “real” and what is true: from news media truth, reality tv truth and social media truth. As George Orwell puts it, “In a time of deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”

But in the end, one must be true to one’s own nature. I would like to think that each person can identify the truth when they hear it. The truth resonates. The truth lights our soul on fire. The truth builds our character.

“Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist,

with the breastplate of righteousness in place,

and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.  “- Ephesians 6: 14-15.

Live free in the truth.

Better prepared for the weather than I am!

The weather is getting cooler by the minute and I have yet to purchase any winter clothing. I was browsing some photos on Pixabay and this little guy caught my eye. Perhaps, divine intervention to remind me to get prepared? Stay warm out there, everyone.

There is a power in gentleness we must discover. It is a power that touches hearts, a power that changes people from within the depths of their soul.” -itakeoffthemask.com

Be gentle with people today. You don’t know someone’s inside struggles. Instead of being the last straw, you can be their first sign of hope. “-95.1 ShineFM,com

Have a great day. Be kind and gentle to yourself. Peace to you this day.

From where does your help come?

When you have to dig deep to achieve a task, to endure, to survive another day, to heal or, to lift your spirit when the odds are against you and no one wants to take your calls. Where do you find help.?

David in the book of 1 Samuel tells us that he found his help, strength and encouragement in the Lord. When David was in deep trouble, the scriptures tells us:

“And David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God”

You may be in some difficulty today – trouble on all sides perhaps. Be encouraged that that your help comes from the Lord. When trouble comes we cannot see all the possible solutions. Pray and trust that God is on your side. David left us some inspiring words of courage where, he sought the “shelter” of the Lord on many occasions. For example:

I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 121: 1-2)

We don’t know how things will turn out. But God does. He is outside of time (and indeed, is the author and architect of time) so he knows what’s up. He has got your back and has you protected on every side.

Remember that,

“The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forth and forevermore. (Psalm 121: 1-8).

God will not forsake or forget you.
