  1. The haiku carries the hush of dawn, where mist rises like incense—an offering from the earth to the sky. The “hill of happiness” is bathed not only in silence but also in fragrance, as though the clouds themselves are perfumed.

I especially love how you sensed the dappled light, slipping through branches and playing upon the mist, reaching upward until it touches the drifting clouds. That moment feels like a bridge between earth and heaven, between stillness and radiance.

And how wonderful that the word Nandi holds such meaning across worlds: in India, a sacred landscape; in Zulu heritage, sweetness, delight, and resilience. The haiku becomes a meeting point of cultures—soft strength, quiet joy, and light upon the morning hills.

Wishing you a happy and blessed Sunday

    1. Oh, thank you for your beautiful comments! I cannot think of anything to add to your excellent and generous gaze at this share.

Thank you also for the wonderful information on the word “Nandi.” I did not know about the Zulu name and word also; its sweetness and grace are profound.

Love your reflection on the meeting of earth and sky in the mountain mist…brilliant!

And a lovely and blessed Sunday of peace to you.
