  1. What a beautiful meditation and excellent use of Poe’s line.
The imagery of dreams, shade, and unseen fruit brings to mind the Tree of Life; not just as a poetic symbol, but as a theological cornerstone. In Scripture, the Tree of Life bookends the human story: planted in Eden and promised again in the New Jerusalem. It reminds us that God’s sacred laws about life and knowledge were never abstract, they were rooted in creation itself, expressed through trees, rivers, gardens, and seasons.
Your poem takes us deep into our hope of restoration, the yearning for balance between bliss and burden, and the quiet trust that what God planted, He will one day bring to full bloom; with the unseen fruit still maturing in the shadow of divine patience. Surely, the gospel is a tree—deeply rooted, quietly growing, ever bearing life.

God’s breath hums through bark and
    root,
    wisdom sealed in living wood.

    Blessings!!

    1. Thank you for your beautiful comments and reflections that resonate deeply. Amen to The true vine and the Living Word– the witness to the tree of life by his sacrifice for all.

I love your insight into the reality of the Tree of Life as the cornerstone and capstone to the work of deliverance unseen for now until that day when…” the unseen fruit still maturing in the shadow of divine patience” appears.

“Wisdom bound in wood”…Brilliant! Thank you

      1. It is a prolific verse, Poet. One that dreams while contemplating the image of a tree bearing
        a multiflora of colored fruits.

Thank you for embracing my thought-journey, as I wandered through reflections on the Tree of Life—
meditating on its meaning in Eden,
its echo in the true vine,
        and the living Word,
as you so beautifully remind us.

Thank you—and you are most warmly welcome.

    1. So delighted you enjoyed the poem Dan. Yes, Poe is a favorite of mine too, one of the key poets I studied way… way back then in my University days and his works stills carries wonderful meaning for me now.

I hope your day is well. Thank you.
