Balm – A Poem in Free Verse; #TDWC

Soothing rough edges and curves

Green—the door to many places:

The surface of emerald lakes,

Tropical rain forests,

The Om shanti of trees,

and the balm in Nature’s salves.

  1. This is so good, Suzette. I have to apologize. I missed it here but I commented at Wayne’s place when he reblogged it. He set me straight. This does take me away in my thoughts.

  2. The poet painted a vivid world using green alone.
Each shade a breath, a feeling, a quiet contrast.
The Om Shanti of trees? What a breathtaking line.
Who can say which is the best tint of green?
    The spirit knows.
    The spirit rests there.
    In green.

    1. You are so right, the color green is so remarkable it comes in may hues so amazing to see leaves in various shades of green.
Green is a softening perhaps of the landscape.

Happy weekend. Grace and peace to you!

  3. The balm in Nature’s salves, most certainly. A lovely interpretation of green. Those green worlds do indeed smooth the rough.

(I came through as Anonymous the last time, having been undone by WP and all its sign-ins, but this time I’m more wary!)

    1. Thank you Maureen for persevering in posting a comment. WP has many “moods” I find…
You are right the many hues of green in nature astound and add I feel warmth to nature’s color palette.
      Have a lovely day!
