      Regarding the colors. I don’t know the answer for sure, but my guess is that it was similar to most Canadian bush planes back in the day because, the bright yellow or sometimes muted yellow called ‘Loening Yellow’ was easy to spot through the brush and tundra.

      1. Of course, only later did I realize they were bush planes, which makes perfect sense. The vivid colours are no accident; they were designed to stand out against the vast brush and tundra of Canada, aiding in rescue visibility and navigation. Loening Yellow—now that’s a name rich with aviation history. I recall reading about it before; it’s one of those hues that carries the legacy of early flight, practicality meeting bold design.

      2. Yes, indeed, those were the colors back in the day of early flight and transporting of goods to remote regions they needed that plane to be visible from air, water and by land.
