Private Apartments- Closeup view – far right side
I saw this private apartment building (pictures above) when it was under construction, two years ago.
The three top floors are ready made sections put together with incredible precision by cranes, skilled operators and skilled tradespersons who worked under a huge tent over the whole thing in Winter!
In response to Dan’s #CFFC ( Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge) where this week’s invitation is Tall or short buildings.

There’s something admirable about the dedication of those artisans—braving the cold, working steadily under that tent to meet a construction deadline. Craftsmanship that often goes unnoticed but is vital to bringing projects to life especially to meet lifestyle and housing needs.
Even if the exteriors of modern apartments don’t capture the grandeur of older architecture, the interiors often reflect a different kind of artistry—sleek, comfortable, and designed for a life of ease. It’s like the beauty of the past giving way to the refined comforts of the present.
Happy to read that the Poet witnessed the completion of this elite project.
Blessed 31 December 2024 to you.

Yes you are absolutely right, I think, there was indeed great care and lots of safety measures that I could see to pull of this elite project (I like your term).
And I have not been inside as it is a very a private place but I am guessing that is it pretty well appointed for comfort.
Yes, I was happy to drive by on an almost daily basis it was on my route and many other onlookers were often enjoying the marvel of the building process employed.
Blessed December 31 to you!

I’m absolutely sure of that as well Poet.
I’ve never been inside elite (thank you) 😊 apartments before and only really seen what they look like inside in movies that I’ve watched.
Thank you Poet, enjoy your 31/12/24 too.

As you can see from the photo there isn’t much of an entrance, intentional I think to add to the private vibe of such elite places.
You are welcome. And thank You.

The construction of the building sounds dangerous!

Hi Liz. Good point.
I am not a safety expert, but each day that I passed by the work in progress on this building, I was impressed by the incredible lengths of safety precautions that were taken. The full scaffolding around the building was like a structure itself and grew upward as the upper floors were installed. The tent was see-through, so visibility was good, it seemed to me. The craftspersons and skilled trades worked in teams and were harnessed in various ways to keep them tethered with fancy pulleys to take them up and down, etc. On the days the cranes were in operation, the workers were off-site or had the day off until the large components were installed and fastened by the crew specialized in that job. So, it was quite a well-choreographed building feat to pull off.
Excellent observation, thank you, Liz for mentioning it.

Interesting way to construct a tall apartment building. It would be nice to see inside wouldn’t it? Maggie

It is an interesting way to construct, especially in our climate, Maggie. It would be nice to see inside, but I suspect that the place is off limits unless on lives there.
Safe travels.

That is a unique way to build a building. I think the vertical lines make it look even taller.
It’s interesting about them working under a tent during the winter. Years ago, lots of construction sites shut down for the winter. These days, they keep right on schedule.
Happy New Year, Suzette.

You are right Dan. They keep on building right through the seasons. So amazing the technology that keeps construction going.
Thank you Dan.
Happy New Year.

What an achievement! I love my tent but I don’t think I’d like working under that one in Summer, let alone Winter!
