Frames – A Poem in Free Verse #Moonwashed Weekly Prompt, #TDWC

To see past

a sliding door of doors

gilded frames open mysteries.

An imagined door opens to a forest,

where trees on a misty rise, crest,

on the mountain-top of existence—

sliding doors in the valleys

of our knowing.

  1. That’s beautiful, Suzette. Sometimes when I’m outside in the forest, it does seem like a door opened. Especially when you turn and see a new area or when you get to the top of a hill.

  2. wonderful how your doors transported us from one space to another

modern frames opening the curtain to a breathtaking old postcard, a place of our familiar….out of the comfort zone

  3. Beautiful perception of what can be seen through open doors and by using our imagination. Your free verse is beautiful and has a lovely flow, Suzette.❤️

  4. “Sliding doors in the valleys of our knowing”….what a great way to meld the mirrors with the forest. There is certainly the sense of the unknown in the infinity of reflections. I’m glad you took this on! Nicely done!
