Climb, oh seeker,
gaze at the silent stone,
where risers are legends,
myths tell elevated stories,
treading ratios add multiply.
A turret points —
highlighting iridescent glimmers
drawing hope higher than stone
to that internal mansion’s keep—
the present moment.
In response to Dan Antion’s annual ThursdayDoors Writing Challenge #TDWC
Very motivating indeed for learners, thanks.

So delighted that you enjoyed the ode to the great architecture and photo of this grand place.
Thanks for noting the attempt at brevity in the number of words used for this ode. Much appreciate.

You are most welcome.
My first inner response was spiritual thesis in just under 40 words
Now I’m happier that I could share my initial thought in this way as well.
An awesome read.

I, too, love the line “drawing hope higher than stone” – I always wondered what the story was behind that turret, Suzette. You’ve given a new meaning to a building I love, but I’ve never understood.

A great photo. I liked how you fitted your camera lens to capture the variouis levels to the Entrance.

“That internal mansion’s keep — the present moment.” Very nice indeed. To seek often means to climb, and I like that you chose that aspect of the photo to begin with.

Thank you, Maureen, for your generous comments. Thank you for noting the element of “seeking” as “a climb.” Much appreciated!
