Pretty cottage with her unkept garden path.
Makes me nostalgic too.
My grandparents lived in a cottage like this, one time in the city and another time in a rural town where they farmed.
I loved the adventure of the untidy garden.
Hard work to keep it prim and proper.
I suppose one needs all the tools
You right they bring a softness to the place, inside of you too.
Beautiful word art

I like the idea that an unkempt garden is “adventure”…so fun and heartwarming. A sort of freedom, really, I think.
Thank you.

Yeah that’s exactly the childhood feelings, that made me nostalgic upon reading your haiku.
Once upon a time we lived like this.
You are welcome.

Yes, similar homes existed where I grew up as well.
Thanks again.

That’s so amazing how the pioneering life influenced all corners of the world even the simplest architecture and way of life.

Nostalgia’s Portal would be a great name for a little wooden cabin in the woods.
