      Yes, they make brown look like gems, extraordinary!

  2. I agree with Sadje, delicious indeed. This poem also speaks to me of inner work, and the dig we make for those delicate and fragile roots, turning them one at a time. Lovely poem, Suzette.

    1. Oh, thank you Jeff for your gracious reflection. True indeed the inner work has to be allowed to go deep…not easy but as life’s seasons change, joy springs forth from those turned over roots. Amen!
