    The inpatient overtone describing this giant of a root coming forth is spot-on,
    breaking through, bearing branches
    it looks
    endearingly gigantic
    and grotesque

    1. Well said in the totality of your choice of the perfect words ( gigantic, endearingly coming forth…) I agree!
      Nature likes to grow into places to bring unused spaces back to life, in my way of thinking.
