Shuffle – A Poem in Free Verse

You’re a card dealer

raking in chips.

A high roller

calling all-in or ante-up,

dealing trade-in offers,

ghosting the unknown caller.

You’re my cellphone,

shuffling,

stacking the deck,

with a full house of apps.

  1. Wow, you keeping it digital

When I saw that word shuffle
I thought of snatching a red wine bottle, slipping into my mustang mustard, take a cruise to the next roulette table, lose and win my chips.

How this tiny apparatus called mobile has changed us drifters, with one click or touch of a screen, voila there you are at betaway. Lol

The ghosting had me on the floor
While you sit there inside your mobile. Doing your thangs with all your apps.

    Love the free verse shuffle
    Ante-up
    Enjoy
