Quote + Haiku (120221)

Checking last year’s lights – Image credit: yours truly

“There’s something about the holidays that makes the planet communal…as twinkling lights dot the landscape and carols fill the air. It’s an inspiring time of the year.”

Marlo Thomas

Haiku inspired by the above quote:

twinkling bright ideas

testing last year’s festive bulbs

new memories bloom

  1. Colorful
    So is Marla’s quote, magical.
    Cherish the memories.

9 times out of ten, unless delicately folded and neatly stored away do those bulbs last. Or there is always that one.

I love the plain white bulbs

    1. Yes! You are so right about the light not making it intact to the next year. As you can see, the one in the middle and a couple others are not lit. But the rest of the strand looks just as bright.
