The Fairgrounds – A Poem

Moonlight colors over county fairgrounds recount

Cotton candy tales spun on memory’s parchment:

Pastel hued mini rides mimicking floating clouds,

Play lilting carousel music to entertain and amuse.

Nostalgia’s envelope sending happiness missives,

Affixing shooting stars as postage stamps.
