Sankranti or Maghi is a January feast celebrating the beginning of the harvest in India and Nepal. Festivities include kite flying and traditional activities along the river.
It looks like a beautiful country. Imagine you’re on your balcony drinking a cup of your favourite brew over looking this beautiful landscape. It would be heavenly.

Happy Makar Sankranti Suzette. This is one festival, besides Diwali perhaps, that is celebrated all over India but under different names. Goes to prove how important agriculture is in Indian context. 🙂
