Chantilly Rows – A Poem

Darkness sits long in Winter, comfy on its cozy chaise.

Finally at 8 am, the Sun ultimately rises.

To peels of astonishment; breathless surprise,

The Sun uncloakes its starship enterprise

Pink-hued like a flamboyance of flamingoes,

An advancing fuchsia haze in Chantilly rows.

In rosy beams, it transports its sunny disposition,

From yesterday’s light years on the event horizon.

Sensing its radiant return,

The city blows out its lanterns

And, with outstretch arms, embraces the prodigal Sun.

  1. Chantilly, a luxurious and versatile word, having a beautiful and mood about it. Versatile like the sun in its power at its dawn to still and calm any trouble heart, make joy and happiness overflowing where it is flowing. We give thanks for its rays of hope shining upon a pensive morning, all kinds of soothing in any setting.

(From yesterday’s light years on the event horizon.)
Mesmerizing in conjunction with the Prodigal Son, one of the greatest, mysterious and simplest of metaphors set in parables, given and left with us.

Exquisite, sensual and mindfully passionate poetry, awakening all our senses

      1. Thank you Suzette. The reader can only sincerely express what jumps out of the pages for her. I’m reminded that there is a protocol, but in any setting i would find it difficult not to let what i know and feel to flow. I respond to poetry. Much blessings to you.♥️☺
