Lettuce – A Poem

Oh mix my metaphors like oil vinaigrette

Dance salsa to my heart in Balsamic duet

Crisp my leaves embalmed in blue cheese

Till a thousand islands resurrect Atlantis.

  1. What an appetising and crisp metaphoric salad. I appreciate the prayer at the beginning, and yes I would be extremely grateful to dress my words and thoughts with balsamic vinegar, blue cheese followed by epiphanies from Atlantis, or maybe in my case, the inner world of the Philippines, Bali and even Cambodia.

    1. Hahaha🤣 I love your comments. …the inner world of the Philippines..” Yes there are untold mysteries to resurrect in the many islands there, and their ancestral history😊 Glad that this little “appetizer” poem hit the spot 🥬. Have a gorgeous day in peace and restful reflection. Blessings🌸

      1. Peace and restful reflection, it doesn’t always come this way, the day falls apart, so here I am looking to strength to pick up the pieces. Thank you I gently embrace the blessing.
