A floral reprise – A Poem

Summer’s messenger blows kisses; a floral reprise

As autumn’s mediator beckons September sunrise,

Exhorting the wind’s guttural whistles in the trees

To fling in nature’s spinning loom, its cares; leaves

Weaving hope foot paths in red, brown and amber

As Summer fluffs her exquisite abode for slumber.
