Enchanted flight – A Poem

Female Monarch butterfly – By Kenneth Dwain Harrelson, CC BY-SA 3.0,

Secret labyrinths of enchanted flight,

Shrouded in growing pupa’s appetite.

Where old fairy tales become chrysalis,

Where golden winged Monarchs rise.

Where under May munching milkweed,

Flightless nymphs in silk thread breed,

Unfolding their wings to nectar’s prize.

  1. โ€œWhere under May munching milkweedโ€! I love this line. Beautiful mystical imagery, and butterfly history. Enchanting Suzette. ๐Ÿฆ‹โค๏ธ
