Noontime rain – A Poem

Image by David Mark from Pixabay

A not uncommon noontime occurrence,

Visceral storms pirouette in the distance,

The once vibrant sun cloaks in darkness.

Sweeping in from nowhere in the visible spectrum,

Strong winds dispatch the ominous vortex to Elysium.

Once threatening torrent, now wind-kissed noontime rain.

Locals accustomed to this magical phenomenon,

Siesta to a water pitter-patter lullaby refrain.

  1. Hi!

    Quelle belle photo !

C’ est un joli poème qui met, en magnificence, l’orage et ses nuages, ses foudres, ses tonnerres et ses éclairs.
    J’ adore l’ orage.

    1. Yes, I love the photo as well. Thunder and rain are comforting sounds to listen to from the safety of the indoors. I totally agree. Thank you for your thoughtfully expressed kind comments. A pleasure. Have a great day, Dunelinette. Peace😊
