What wonder it is dear friend,
To allow small things to still catch us by surprise?
Like, glad tidings from a far away friend,
Or, a fond memory sparked by a favorite 80’s song’s reprise,
Or, the smell of the first leaves on the trees after the spring thaw,
Suddenly transporting us to fond memories of where we lived before.
What delightful wonders are there for us to experience and see,
If we can keep our hearts soft and willing enough, to be,
pleasantly surprised each day,
by the multitude of magical surprises, we find along the way.
