Bundled up against the cold northwest winds of winter:
Hat, double scarf, hooded jacket, three sweaters (yes three) and
One pair of gloves.
Plotting the adventure with vivid detail, thusly:
Enter the street where I reside,
Turn off the engine,
Lock the car,
Walk a few short steps in subzero temperature
To my dwelling,
brave the snow covered slippery walkways, and
battle the wind and snow pelting my eyelids.
Suitably planned – the adventure began.
I take a deep breath and walk
one very short corner block to my abode.
I reach the entrance door of success –
Now inside snug and warm-
Mission accomplished (no music needed).
Even small adventures have their charm-
If you let them.
