Celebration – A reflection

It is an axis of sorts – the time between the changing of the years. That absolute moment when one point in the year gives way to a completely new chapter in time – a time to celebrate what was and what is to come.

Celebrate the failures; they are the rich soil in the trenches of triumph.

Celebrate the losses; they perfect in you, the richest prize – really living.

Celebrate the uncertainty; it is one of the finest ladders from which to rise to confidence and courage.

Celebrate what you don’t have; because that so-called lack, creates a divine void into which only abundance can flow; an overflowing cup has no room – an empty cup was created to be filled.

Celebrate your weaknesses, because true strength comes by acknowledging the deepest honesty of the soul – that our help comes from God.

Celebrate the dark nights of your soul because they teach you to be a warrior. Every new morning is a victory. Do not believe the illusion that it was the same battle as two or three nights ago. No. You are new each day – your battle last night was a totally different one, masquerading like an old battle to keep you in bondage to it.

And, celebrate all that you don’t know; only the very wise know to rejoice because they know nothing.

Celebrate all that you are.

  1. Wow! So powerful! So true. May we rest in our Lord, knowing He has accomplished all for us. Everything in our lives, our failures and our triumphs, all work together for our good through our beautiful, faithful shepherd, the Lord Jesus Christ . . .
