“Now is the time of fresh starts.
This is the season that makes everything new…you need December before you can see that a landscape of new fallen snow is THE REAL YOU.
December has the clarity, the simplicity, and the silence you need for the best FRESH START of your life.”― Vivian Swift

“And when old Winter puts his blank face to the glass,
I shall close all my shutters, pull the curtains tight,
And build me stately palaces by candlelight.”

“Winter then in its early and clear stages, was a purifying engine that ran unhindered over city and country, alerting the stars to sparkle violently and shower their silver light into the arms of bare upreaching trees.” ― Mark Helprin

“It seems like everything sleeps in winter, but it’s really a time of renewal and reflection.”― Elizabeth Camden

“One can follow the sun, of course, but I have always thought that it is best to know some winter, too, so that the summer, when it arrives, is the more gratefully received.”― Beatriz Williams

“Look back upon winter with gratitude. Spring is the harvest of the darker months—everything you know starts to grow in darkness” ― Faith Baldwin

“Snow flurries began to fall and they swirled around people’s legs like house cats. It was magical, this snow globe world.”― Sarah Addison Allen

“I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape… Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn’t show.”― Andrew Wyeth

“December’s wintery breath is already clouding the pond, frosting the pane, obscuring summer’s memory…”― John Geddes

“The weather behaved itself… In the spring all the little flowers came out obediently in the meads… in the autumn the leaves flamed and rattled before the west winds… and, in the winter… the snow lay evenly, three feet thick, but never turned into slush.”― T.H. White

“Surely everyone is aware of the divine pleasures which attend a wintry fireside; candles at four o’clock, warm hearthrugs, tea, a fair tea-maker, shutters closed, curtains flowing in ample draperies to the floor, whilst the wind and rain are raging audibly without.”― Thomas De Quincey
“As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night.”- Genesis 8:22
