Weekend Musings

This weekend’s musing offering is on the idea that perhaps when we meet other people we are meeting some part of ourselves. Moreover, no meeting or encounter with another person (positive or negative) is by chance, but planned somehow, someway in the larger scheme of things. Some thoughts to ponder, if you so choose. Happy weekend.

“Each person you meet
is an aspect of yourself,
clamoring for love.”
― Eric Micha’el Leventhal

“Treat everyone you meet as if they were you.”― Doug Dillon

“Through others we become ourselves.”― Lev S. Vygotsky

  1. Suzette your wisdom quotes are truly an inspiration to me and leaves me with so much to ponder. I really appreciate you. This one is one of the most thought provoking ones for me. So much truth in them.

      1. Thank you Meena. I can only speak from my experience, If I sense negative emotion in me due to my encounter with another person, I trust my gut to find a way to make a graceful exit from that encounter. There is nothing, in my mind that says that I would continue or stay in an uncomfortable situation. I guess, I use those situations to measure how I am learning (and it is a process), self care from an emotional standpoint. I think to myself, “if every situation I encounter with others is good and lovely – how do I grow and learn about what I am made of – i.e character?.
