For the joy of books

I have always found: solace, serenity, joy, peace and adventure in books.

“The love of learning, the sequestered nooks, And all the sweet serenity of books.- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

And, when I cannot afford to travel. I travel through the imagination of books. “In books I have traveled, not only to other worlds, but into my own.”
― Anna Quindlen

“That’s the thing about books. They let you travel without moving your feet” – Jhumpa Lahiri

“You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy books, and that’s kind of the same thing” – Anon

Make each day a masterpiece.

Help others.

Drink deeply from good books…”- John Wooden

  1. Wonderful praise to books. I told some removal men who groaned and wondered if I hadn’t read my books
( in other words thrown them away ). I did explain that they were my friends at which they shook their heads. 😊.
