Thus far, it has been a week for you in which a lot has happened. May I offer a short respite, a mental rest, a short breather, before you press forward to the weekend. Use a moment of rest to celebrate the journey thus far this week.
I am not sure what Mr. Mark Twain had in mind on this one. I leave it to you to decide. He says, “I have never taken any exercise, except sleeping and resting,
“It does good also to take walks out of doors, that our spirits may be raised and refreshed by the open air and fresh breeze…” ― Seneca
“It’s very important that we re-learn the art of resting and relaxing. Not only does it help prevent the onset of many illnesses that develop through chronic tension and worrying; it allows us to clear our minds, focus, and find creative solutions to problems.” -Thich Nhat Hanh
“There is virtue in work and there is virtue in rest. Use both and overlook neither.” ― Alan Cohen
“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.” – Psalm 4:8
Enjoy a bit of rest. Be refreshed for the journey ahead.
